Heartland Dog Training is a non-profit dog training and education foundation on Peoria´s Northeast side. Our training facility is nestled back in the trees - far from any highway - and has plenty of flat, frequently mowed, outdoor grassy spaces for dog training. We have a fully handicap accessible, regulation size, obedience ring in our air-conditioned building. We also have a fully fenced outdoor area where you can come and work on any training problems that you are experiencing. Our all-volunteer staff has been training, showing and placing titles on their own dogs for years. Their love of dogs is evidenced by the care and concern they show toward their own dogs and yours. All of our volunteers sincerely love and respect animals. It doesn’t matter if you want a well-mannered, all around pet or if your goal is to show your dog in obedience trials. With your help, our goal is to assist you with having the best dog you can living in your home. Heartland features small classes and a friendly atmosphere. You will receive personal attention for your dog´s problems in an open, non- judgmental manner. Our methods follow the AKC Novice Platform. Please visit our Class Descriptions page for more information. Feel free to come visit our classes to determine if we are the right fit for you and your dog! |
