Our 2008 Calendar is complete.

Heartland DTC is a non-profit dog training and education foundation on Peoria´s Northeast side. Our building is nestled back in the trees - far from any highway - and has plenty of flat, frequently mowed, outdoor grassy spaces to train - as well as a Fully Handicap Accessible regulation size obedience ring indoors. We have a fully fenced outdoor arena where you can come and work on any training problems that you are experiencing.

We feature small classes and a friendly atmosphere for everyone. You will receive personal help for your dog´s problems in an open non-judgmental manner. All of our volunteer instructors have been training, showing and placing titles on their own dogs for years. Their love of dogs is evidenced by the care and concern that they show toward their own dogs and yours. We encourage the "no-force" method of training, but have experience and can work with you on other methods.

All of our membership sincerely love and respect animals and other persons. We have vet techs, kennel owners, veterinarians, computer programmers, factory workers, retired citizens and high school students. We don´t care what you do or whether your goal is to show your dog in obedience trials. We believe that manners training is the most important training that your puppy will ever have. We are here to help you in your efforts to have a Canine Good Citizen living in your home.
